The Clock

Historic clock at St Peter’s Church, Grandborough

The church clock has been a familiar feature of village life for over two hundred years.

Believed to date from 1816, the mechanism probably incorporates elements of an earlier clock. Its dial was added during the nineteenth century and the clock continues to strike the hours and chime the quarters. For generations it provided the principal public timepiece for Grandborough and remains one of the church's most recognisable features.
