The Nave

Medieval nave inside St Peter’s Church, Grandborough

From the font, look along the nave towards the chancel.

Much of the church seen today dates from the fourteenth century. The nave forms the principal gathering space for worship and has been used by generations of villagers for services, baptisms, weddings and funerals.

The stone piers and arches divide the nave from the aisles and reflect the medieval rebuilding that transformed the church into its present form.
