Behind the altar stands the richly decorated reredos.

Installed during the nineteenth century, it forms one of the church's most striking artistic features. Following years of deterioration, the reredos underwent a major conservation project in 2024–25 which restored its original decorative scheme and secured its future.

The restoration revealed details and craftsmanship that had been hidden for generations and forms one of the most significant recent heritage projects undertaken by the parish.
